Unity essential to end Yemen's crisis

TEHRAN, Jun. 14 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on the regional states to join hands to put an end to the crisis in Yemen.

During a meeting with Sudan's ambassador to Tehran on Sunday evening, Zarif stressed unity on behalf of all regional countries and the Muslim world to terminate the calamities in Yemen.

While highlighting the need for unity and solidarity among Muslim states towards the plots against them, Zarif pointed to western sanctions imposed against the Sudan’s nation urging vigilance towards the plots targeting the Muslims.

The Iranian foreign minister, meantime, thanked Sudan's envoy for his efforts during his mission in Iran.

Mir Ghani Abkar al-Bakhit, for his part, expressed gratitude to the Iranian foreign ministry and other organizations for their cooperation with Sudan's embassy over past four years.

Sudan's ambassador pointed to positive relations between Tehran and Khartoum, and expressed the hope that the two countries' friendly ties will continue in the coming years.
